There were over 50 teams participating in the event, which was officially sanctioned by the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI). The rules are strict. This was Tom's first attempt and, in addition to using the best sirloin beef, he used a generous splash of Kermit's Key Lime juice. Tom's chili placed sixth! Way to go, Tom!
