After Kermit’s 2011 summer vacation to Italy, he returned inspired to create a series of flavored olive oils, much like the ones he enjoyed on his visit, but with the added enhancement of flavorful key lime.
Kermit created four variations — Mesquite, Chili Chipotle, Jalapeno Cilantro, and Rosemary, Garlic & Herb (Traditional Italian) — all with just the right touch of Key Lime.
The spices and herbs have infused the oil with their flavors and then settled to the bottom of the bottle. So, shake the bottle well, then enjoy the four variations in the following ways: Serve with crusty bread as an alternative to butter; use as a marinade before grilling; add a little vinegar to make a salad dressing; add a dash to dips, sauces, and soups; and use for a stir fry or drizzle over veggies.
Each bottle comes with its own pour spout, so you may keep it handy in the kitchen. Kermit loves all four variations, but a real favorite is to use Chili Chipotle Extra Virgin Olive Oil with fresh Key West shrimp, grilled on the barbecue.
